Night in Padang
Spend the night in a hotel: the ferry leaves early the next morning. Airport transfers in Padang usually cost IDR 250,000–500,000.
Ferry a Siberut
The Mentawai Fast ferry leaves Padang on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 07:00.

Option 1 · Ferry + speedboat
- Mentawai Fast ferry from Padang to Siberut (Tue, Thu, Sat at 07:00), so arrive in Padang the day before.
- We can organise the transfers from the airport to your hotel and to the ferry for a very cheap price.
- Our speedboat picks you up at the ferry in Siberut (included). The return transfer to Siberut costs €50.

Travel tips
Surfboards on flights and on the ferry
Indonesian airlines often charge per surfboard and per flight, and some set length limits (around 6.5 feet). Check current fees with your airline. On the Mentawai Fast ferry boards of any size are welcome and the fee is calculated by weight (from IDR 250,000 per way up to 15 kg).
Flights from Padang to the islands
Since late April 2025 Wings Air has suspended its flights between Padang and the Mentawai Islands. Check airline announcements for updates; the fast ferry or our direct speedboat are the reliable options.
Travelling during local holidays
During Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran) many Indonesians travel home: flights and ferries fill up early and some schedules change. If you transit through Bali, its airport closes for 24 hours on Nyepi (Day of Silence). Book early and send us your dates so we can help with the best route.
